Job Description:

Requirements:

- A minimum of 1 year of prior claims experience
- A professional degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Sharp critical thinking skills with sound judgment
- Ability to sit at a computer workstation for long periods of time

Essential Duties:

- Follow written procedures and scripts
- Consult with team leadership and peers on case work
- Use proprietary software tools to access and review claim documents, enter claim decisions, and create escalations when needed
- Communicate immediately to leadership all obstacles to completing work
- Meet and exceed departmental expectations for accuracy and productivity

Other Duties:

- Contribute subject area expertise to determine processing guidelines and assess if standards have been met
- Utilize documented team processes to ensure compliance with departmental standards
- Perform data entry and verification
- Draft claimant facing communications based on guidance provided
- Communicate directly with claimants by phone or email
- Verify data and processing requirements and make corrections as necessary
- Complete other projects as assigned
